 THE RONALDO EFFECT.

Cristiano Ronaldo is undoubtedly one of the best football players of all time. He's so great that football doesn't seem complete until he is brought into the picture.

While everyone knows his glory(and wants it as well). Do we all know his story? The Portuguese player didn't just get here by mere luck.

This man was born in an impoverished home, as the youngest of five siblings, all in a single room with his parents who weren't well to do.

He quit school to pursue and focus on football, he never made it past the sixth grade(Primary 6) but with his huge amount of success, you would never tell.

At a young age, he gave in to training, even after being diagnosed with a disease that should have stopped him from playing, he did the surgery and continue to train days later.

And this led him to doing amazing things at his young age, far better and faster than his peers. Not by magic but by hard work and resilience.

His mother revealed that she wanted to abort CR7 while she had his pregnancy, being that she had four children already and their father was a drunk and they were poor.

But the one who was to be aborted actually aborted poverty from their lives.

The Ronaldo effect can only be affected in our lives through having resilience(as he trained all through his youth and still is). Through focus and passion(he was so focused and passionate that he quit school for football).

We shouldn't try to kill or remove what God has placed in our hands because of the situation around us. If God places something big in your hands, don't let your mind be too small to carry it.

His mom also revealed that CR7 would have been a bricklayer if he didn't work out with professional football.

Your destiny can only be decided by one person and that is you. If you choose to achieve it, go ahead. If you choose not to, it will be lost forever.

The story of Ronaldo is a deep and interesting one. We shouldn't always seek the glory, we should also get the story and with hard work, resilience, patience, passion and God, the Ronaldo effect will surely come to pass.
